Trust Fund

The Australian Horse Industry Research & Development Trust (AHIRDT) is an Ancillary Fund with Deductable Gift Recipient (DGR) status established by Horse SA.

The purpose is to promote, support and share information with horse owners in areas related to horse health care and welfare, sports science and environmental management.

The Trust has a strong partnership with the University of Adelaide, assisting in establishing a national centre for horse care,  health and welfare programs with  specialized training for equine professionals and public education for horse owners. Community & industry engagement in research and sharing of knowledge is strongly promoted.

With grassroots support from South Australia’s horse industry & community and through the Trustee Horse SA, the Trust is seeking to invest in a range of programs to achieve the aims & goals of the organisation and most of all, to help us provide the best possible care for our horses.

The Trust welcomes support and collaboration from other like minded organisations and individuals from around Australia and internationally.t
